Description

Standing in a circle, begin by sharing your name and including a physical gesture.  People in the circle then repeat the name and perform the action, “Hi, Sarah” (e.g., while moving arms in a spinning direction).  After each introduction, everyone repeats each person’s name in order with their movement so that each round there is one more name and movement added to the “dance”.

Adaptation

The next time through, one can start by just giving a sound and a movement, possibly that expresses how one is feeling that day, or what one feels about a recent event.  A chance to express without words feeling or sensation.

Reflect back to the group what changes you see day to day as they become more comfortable and free with the exercise.
