Section One:
Description
Discuss multisensory multispecies ethnography, critiques of human centredness, theories of sensuous ontologies.
Exercise
Invite students to recall and/or imagine animals, earth, water, plants, fish they see in their contemporary lives and how they respond multisensorially.
Break into pairs: A is presenter and B is receiver.
Adaptation
Reverse.
Section Two:
Description
Discuss multisensory multispecies ethnography, critiques of human centredness, theories of sensuous ontologies or expand on previous discussions.
Exercise
Invite students to go for a 10 minute walk and consider what it means to them to acknowledge that we live on “sovereign unceded Indigenous land” when their feet fall on such land.
Adaptation
Discuss sensoria, embodiment, emplacement, entanglement, critical reflexivity, and anticolonization.
